In partnership with the Friends of the Lumpkin Library, we will be hosting an author event on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.This is a free series of presentations by local authors who will be on hand to talk about one or more of their books.
Our featured author for this event will be Ms. Tommye McClure Scanlin, a local resident and renound tapestry weaver and art educator. Ms. Scanlin will be at the library talking about her two published books on the topic of Tapestry Design and Weaving. As a special treat, Ms. Scanlin will be displaying some of the samples of her woven tapestries the day of the event. All are welcome to stay after the presentation for the October Friends of the Library meeting.
