OUR LUMPKIN COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY IS VITAL TO OUR COMMUNITY
Upcoming Events
Join us at the Lumpkin County Library for the next in our Authors in the Afternoon Series. In partnership with the Friends of the Lumpkin Library, we will be hosting an author event on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Our featured author for this event will be Dr. Douglas Young, who will be giving a presentation about his books, "Deep in the Forest" and "Due South". Dr. Young will also be available to sign and sell copies of his book. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to stay after the presentation for the July Friends of the Library meeting.

Our public library is more than just books. It’s a community learning center, a place to go to search for a job, trace your family history, or meet with your book club or community organization. It’s a place to go for entertainment where you can check out the latest novels, games, DVDs, and more! Our library is a place to learn and have fun!
Our public library is the heart of a living, engaged community; a source of unbiased and open access to knowledge, entertainment, and enlightenment. It's a neighborhood to all citizens without regard to age, income or background. Our library complements and enhances the educational, historical and cultural opportunities available and serves as a gathering place to all members of Lumpkin County.
